Educating Kids One Dollar At A Time
“Educating America about the dangers of appearance and performance enhancing drugs …. One Dollar at a time”
What if we told you that a few dollars each month would go towards educating high school and/or middle school students every month about the dangers of appearance and performance enhancing drugs?
As you probably already know, athletes are no longer the sole users of these drug . . . they currently represent only about half of the users. The number one reason kids tell us that they begin using anabolic steroids is to look and feel better about themselves. Recent studies show an estimated 800,000 to 1,000,000 kids have ADMITTED to using Appearance and Performance Enhancing drugs. Another study done by Proctor and Gamble revealed that over 85% of our kids have never had a parent, teacher, or coach speak to them about the dangers of Appearance and Performance Enhancing Drugs. Most of our adult influencers are shocked to find out that the fastest growing user group of these drugs are our young girls!
In an effort to educate more kids across America, we have a new program called “Educating America One Dollar at a Time.” We are asking for your support in this campaign by committing at least five dollars each month to the Taylor Hooton Foundation's education outreach program.
Each month a school(s) will receive a Hoot’s Chalk Talk Assembly sponsored by the Taylor Hooton Foundation campaign supporters! We will be sure to capture pictures/video footage of these events and post them on our website and/or our Facebook page.
